Personal Protective Equipment
This course is designed to help the industrial worker understand which Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is right for a particular situation, how to wear PPE properly, and how to keep it in good condition.
Many work environments can have the potential for dangerous objects and situations that may be harmful to employees and the public; therefore, personal protective equipment (PPE) training is required for the proper use of PPE to prevent misuse and injury. It is important to know how to properly maintain and store the equipment so it works correctly and is easily accessible. Another facet to PPE training is being aware of potential hazardous scenarios and how to properly react. Statistics have shown that organizations that embrace training on safety issues for all employees tend to be more productive and spend far less financially on lawsuits from injured employees.
At the end of this training course the learner will be able to:
- Explain in detail the different types of personal protective equipment
- Identify proper uses of head, hand, eye/face, foot, ear, and respiratory PPE
- Differentiate proper care and maintenance of PPE
- Create a safe workplace environment for all workers
